KeyShot Studio AI Shots FAQs

Privacy and Security

AI Shots runs locally on your machine. It is not a Cloud-service and using the feature does not require an internet connection past the initial download of the AI model.

The AI model is downloaded from our servers upon first use of the feature and then remains unmodified. It does not ‘learn’ from or adapt to your usage.

KeyShot can provide updates to the AI model. In such cases, users are prompted to download the new model but can also continue using the model that they already have on their machine.

Content

The AI model used for AI Shots cannot guarantee results that are free of copyright or trademark infringements.

In cases where content generated with AI Shots is intended for public release, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the results are free of any problematic content.

Hardware Requirements

Minimum System Requirements

  • Windows: NVIDIA or AMD GPU with at least 16 GB memory
  • Mac: M1 or newer CPU with at least 16 GB memory
  • CPU-only rendering is supported but significantly slower and not recommended.

Performance Recommendations

  • Start with low-resolution images (e.g., 512 × 512) to minimize memory usage and rendering time.
  • Higher resolutions require more memory and take longer to generate.

Rendering Behavior

  • AI Shots automatically enables CPU rendering to free up GPU memory.
  • Do not enable GPU rendering while using AI Shots due to high memory demands.
  • Avoid running other GPU-intensive tasks simultaneously, as they may degrade AI Shots performance.

Eligibility
