Error "Exiting Due to Signal 25 Exit reason 2" when changing an Internet connection

This article provides a step-by-step guide on troubleshooting the "Exiting Due to Signal 25 Exit reason 2" error that occurs when changing your Internet connection.

Issue

If you look at your Luxion.log file by clicking License Folder within the Luxion License Server and opening the Luxion.log file you will see the entry below. 

This issue may occur if your internet connection changes from Ethernet to Wifi or vice versa. It could also happen if your Ethernet connection is enabled in one adapter and then changed to another adapter. When this happens, the HostID (MAC address) will change. To assist you in resolving this issue, please provide us with a copy of your KeyShot floating license and the information requested in the instructions below.

Resolution

How to find your System's hostname and MAC address.

Windows:
1. Open the Windows Command Prompt and type ipconfig /all.
2. Press Enter.
3. Your HostName will be at the very top under your ipconfig /all command.

Note: Your MAC address is the Physical Address of the connection that is Enabled and Preferred.

Mac:
1. Open the Terminal application and type HostName.
2. Press Enter.
3. Your HostName will be displayed under your HostName command.
4. Next type ifconfig.
5. Press Enter.
6. Your MAC address will be show on the list.
