      Error: This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized

      After installing KeyShot for the first time, when trying to launch the program, the error occurs.

      Issue

      After installing KeyShot for the first time, when trying to launch the program, the below error occurs.

      Environment Details

      • KeyShot
        • 2023/2024
      • SolidEdge

      Cause

      • If SolidEdge is installed prior to KeyShot it appears to cause an issue with the launching of KeyShot for the first time. 

      Resolution

      Uninstalling SolidEdge, then reinstalling KeyShot should resolve this issue. You can reinstall SolidEdge once KeyShot is activated.
