Transferring a Subscription Owner and User
How to have the Subscription Owner transferred to a different account.
License Roles Overview
A subscription license is associated with two Accounts.
The User Account is the account of the artist who is using the KeyShot software.
The Billing Owner Account is the account that sees the billing information and can edit the renewals and payment information.
The Billing Owner can also be the User account as well as be the Owner of several licenses, whereas the User account should be unique to one Professional license.
This separation ensures that creative users can focus on their work while administrative control remains flexible and centralized when needed.
When changing accounts, please sign up for a KeyShot Cloud Account with the new e-mail here.
Please be sure to wait for the verification email before closing your browser to ensure the account is created. If you have any issues or do not receive the verification email, please let us know so that we can assist you.
Changing the Billing Owner Account
If you purchased the license directly through 2Checkout, please adjust the Owner email in your 2Checkout order as the End User e-mail.
If you purchased through a reseller or partner, please reach out to them to change the Owner in the Partner Portal.
Changing the User Account
It is not possible to change the e-mail of an account, but you can sign up for a new free account and ask us to transfer the license.
Please make sure that the new KeyShot Cloud Account has been registered and verified with the new e-mail here.

License Distribution
If you have five or more professional subscription licenses, you may qualify for the License Distribution Tool that will allow you to manage the Users for the licenses.
