Can you have multiple instances of KeyShot open on MacOS?

Yes, it is possible to have multiple instances of KeyShot open on MacOS. There are two ways you can do this.

First option:

1. Open up the 1st instance of KeyShot

2. Open up the Terminal on a Mac  (You can do a search for Terminal and then select it in the search function)

3. Paste in the following command:

/Applications/KeyShot.app/Contents/MacOS/keyshot

Note: This will work specifically for KeyShot 2024. If you have another version of KeyShot, then the version will need to be added. For example for KeyShot 2023, it will look like this:

/Applications/KeyShot12.app/Contents/MacOS/keyshot

Second option:

1. Open up the 1st instance of KeyShot

2. Go to Finder and open up Applications

3. Go to KeyShot and then select it and "copy" it

4. "Paste" it into the Desktop

5. Clicking on this icon should open up the 2nd instance of KeyShot

6. You can select "keep in dock" so that you will have two icons for KeyShot in your dock for ease of opening up more than one instance of KeyShot.

7. You can do this multiple times to allow multiple instances of KeyShot to be open

NOTE: If you have CPU usage set at 100% for all instances of KeyShot, this will severely affect the performance of you computer. Be sure to change the CPU usage to a lower percentage.
