End of Life (EOL) Details for KeyShot Studio 2023-2024
KeyShot Studio 2023 and KeyShot Studio 2024 will reach the end of life on April 1, 2027, at which point product downloads will be removed, license servers will be unavailable, and technical assistance will no longer be provided.
What does end of support mean?
As a part of our product lifecycle, we may decide to end support for certain product releases that we have determined are no longer practical for us to support. We make this decision due to many reasons, including security concerns, legal and compliance risks, compatibility issues with newer hardware or software, performance degradation, and reliability issues, among others.
If you have an active subscription license, ensure you upgrade to a supported version of Studio before the official end-of-life date for Studio to function.
What does supported mean?
It is our policy to provide support and fixes in supported versions of our products. This includes access to downloads, communication with technical support and licensing support, access to online resources, and license key validation. Unless explicitly indicated, known issues or bug fixes will not be applied to earlier versions of KeyShot software, irrespective of their current status within the product lifecycle.
We strive to put resources behind the most recent product releases in order to continually improve and enhance the value of our products.
We will attempt to answer questions on older versions of our products provided resources are available; however, if you are using a supported version but a known issue is fixed on a newer product release, we encourage you to upgrade to the fixed version of the product. No new code fixes will be generated except under extreme circumstances and at our discretion.
KeyShot Studio 2023 and 2024 will remain supported until June 30, 2026.
What does unsupported mean?
Customers with unsupported products are not entitled to download or receive updates, maintenance releases, patches (including critical security patches), hotfixes, or any other technical services. Access to unsupported versions and plugins is at your own risk and KeyShot is not responsible for any technical support (including problems you create) as a result of accessing these resources. To resolve an issue, it may be necessary to upgrade to a newer version or product solution.
When a product moves to unsupported status, customers with active subscriptions will continue to have access to KeyShot Studio product and KeyShot’s technical support team.
KeyShot Studio 2023 and 2024 will remain available as an unsupported product until March 31, 2027.
What happens to my subscription license when end of life is reached?
License servers will be unavailable for subscriptions that have reached end of life. Because license servers will be unavailable, KeyShot Studio 2023 and 2024 cannot validate licenses. The software will enter "offline mode," allowing you to continue working for seven days. After that, you must connect to the internet to revalidate your license, or the application will close until it is successfully validated.
After this date, KeyShot will also stop providing technical support for these versions and will remove all related product downloads from the KeyShot website. To avoid any disruption, we recommend upgrading to a supported version of KeyShot Studio. You can find currently supported versions of KeyShot Studio here.
If I’m using an unsupported or EOL version, what options do I have to continue to stay supported?
