Issue with Weaving Command in KeyShot - RealCloth Application

Resolving Issues with the Weaving Command and RealCloth in KeyShot

Issue

The weaving command appears to be stuck or overestimating the complexity of the calculations in KeyShot when applied to a model with RealCloth.

Environment

  • KeyShot Studio (Any Version)

Cause

RealCloth can occasionally cause performance issues, particularly when the calculations for the weaving command are complex or overestimated. This can lead to the system becoming stuck during the process.

Resolution

  1. Open the Scene in "Recovery Mode"

    • Open KeyShot and go to the Help menu.

    • Towards the bottom of the Help menu, you will find the option to open the scene in Recovery Mode.

    • This allows you to load the scene without triggering the RealCloth calculations and make any necessary adjustments.

  2. Disable or Remove RealCloth

    • Once in Recovery Mode, you can safely disable or remove the RealCloth from the scene. This will resolve the issue with the weaving command.

By following these steps, you should be able to regain control of the scene and disable RealCloth to proceed without issues. If the problem persists, please reach out to KeyShot Support for additional assistance.
