KeyShot Education Purchasing FAQs.

To Place an Order

If you order using a valid EDU email domain, the order will automatically be processed and approved. You will then be sent an email confirmation regarding your order, along with license info/download instructions.

If you order without a valid EDU domain, you will need to provide proof of educational status to complete your order. You will be prompted to upload your documents while placing your order.

I'm a college student - do I qualify for this offer?

Students at Higher Education Institutions (that issue degrees) in eligible countries are qualified for this offer. Just select your country and school to begin. If your school does not appear on the list provided, please submit a request through our school request form. We will review the request and add schools to the program at the discretion of KeyShot. Eligibility criteria is determined by KeyShot. Please refer to KeyShot for questions regarding the criteria.

I was asked to upload a document. What type of documentation is required?

Please upload a document that clearly shows you're currently enrolled in college. The document needs to include your first name, last name, university name, and an issue date from the current academic term, or within the last 3 months. You can upload more than one document if needed. These can include:

  • Official Enrollment Letter from your academic institution with your full name and the current term date (acceptance letters will not be approved)
  • Class schedule for the current academic term
  • Registration receipt or tuition receipt
  • Transcript that shows classes currently in progress
  • Other school-issued documents that display your first/last name, an issue date from the current term, or within the last three months

Note: The documents must contain clear, visible, and valid dates to be considered. Documents failing to show current dates will not be accepted.

I just uploaded a document. When will I hear back with the results of my request?

Documents are reviewed in the order received. You'll receive an email from KeyShot with the results of the request as soon as we've reviewed your document. Please allow 5-7 business days for approval. Orders will be approved during normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM Pacific Time. If you don't see this email after 5 business days, please check your junk/spam folder for the message.

Why do I have to go through a verification process?

You are submitting a request for an exclusive offer. To ensure only those people who fall under the required conditions can obtain this special offer, we ask you to participate in a quick verification process.

What happens if I can't prove my student status?

We require valid documentation through your organization or affiliation. Check with your organization if you are unable to find the required ID. On the occasion you cannot provide us with any acceptable proof of validation, we will not be able to allow you to continue the offer.

I don't want to verify online. Can I talk to a real person?

Currently, this offer is only being verified via our online verification service. Our safe and secure process is the fastest way to complete your verification and successfully access your offer.

How do I provide evidence for tax exemption? 

Sales tax can be refunded to your payment account after the transaction is complete. Please request a refund within 90 days of the purchase by emailing a copy of your Tax Exemption Certificate together with the order details to pay@2checkout.com

Once you provide evidence of tax exemption, all renewals linked to your order will also be tax-exempt as long as the certificate you provided is still valid when your renewal order is processed.
