When trying to add resources from a network location or another location on local computer to KeyShot you can follow the instructions below for your specific OS.
Windows
- Launch KeyShot
- Go to the Edit drop down menu and select Preferences
- Select Folders on the left side panel in the pop-up box that appears
- Select Customize each Folder if you would like to specify each folder
- Go to Resource you want to add to. Click on the Folder Icon. The Configure Folders window will pop up
- Click Add. (plus sign) The Add folder window will pop up
- Click the Folder Icon, browse to the desired sub-folder for the relevant resources and click Open
- Click Ok twice. Then, click Save Changes
- You will now be able to find your sub-folders inside the KeyShot Library window.
Note:
KeyShot sub-folders can be found in:
Users > User Name > Documents > KeyShot folder. (Installed just for me)
Users > Public > Public Documents > KeyShot folder. (Installed for everyone)
Mac
- Launch KeyShot
- Go to the KeyShot dropdown menu on the top and select Preferences
- In the pop-up window that appears, select Folders in the left side panel
- Go to Resource you want to add to. Click on the Folder Icon. The Configure Folders window will pop up
- Click Add. (plus sign) The Add folder window will pop up
- Click the Folder Icon, browse to the desired sub-folder for the relevant resources and click Open
- Click Ok twice. Then, click Save Changes
- You will now be able to find your sub-folders inside the KeyShot Library window.
Note: KeyShot sub-folders can be found in Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > KeyShot

Resources added from https://www.keyshot.com/resources/downloads/assets/ can be found in the corresponding folders.
For example, using the default folder locations, Textures from Polygon would be added to the C:\Users\Documents\KeyShot\Colors folder on a Windows machine.
On a MacOS, they can be found at Library/Application Support/KeyShot/Textures.
