When running KeyShot floating license server on a machine that has other FlexNet license running as well there can be times you will get the error below.

(LUXION) Lost connection to lmgrd, heartbeat timeout expired, exiting.(LUXION) Heartbeat timeout is 300 seconds. Elapsed time is 2262 seconds.(LUXION) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 28 Exit reason 5(lmgrd) LUXION exited with status 28 (Communications error)(lmgrd) Since this is an unknown status, license server(lmgrd) manager (lmgrd) will attempt to re-start the vendor daemon.

There are a few reasons that this could happen.
Cause
1. The Vendor daemon is having Port conflictions with another software running on the computer.
2. There could be another License that is using the same Port as the daemon.

There are a few steps we can do to try and resolve the issue.

Steps to Resolve
1. We can change the port number that the daemon is using manually or with the Luxion License Server application.
1.1. Open Luxion License Server software and stop your license. Click on Set Ports and apply a port number to the daemon and start up the server.
1.2. Open your floating license in a text editor and after the daemon name type in PORT=##### and save the file.

Prevent network Adapter from being powered down.

Windows network Propeties1. Open Network and Sharing Center. 2. Select the change adapter settings. 3. Right-click on the network adapter being used and select Properties. 4. Select Configure... button. 5. Select the Power Management tab. 6. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. 7. Restart your KeyShot floating license if it's not up and running.

*Note:*

##### would be the port numbers you wanna use.
