# GPU NVIDIA A40 is running slow in Network Rendering

## Troubleshooting for a GPU Worker equipped with a NVIDIA A40 suddenly running slow.

### Issue

You may discover that your GPU Worker with a NVIDIA A40 runs very slowly after a Failed Status.  
A GPU rendering workers status may change to "Failed". After restarting the Worker, the Network Manager no longer reports a "Failed" status, however the system is rendering very slowly. For example renders that used to complet in less than 30 seconds is now taking over 10 Minutes.

### Environment Details

- Network Rendering, any version
- NVIDIA A40 (NVIDIA RTX Ampere) 48GB

### Cause

- The Manager did not get the NVIDIA license from the license server.
- NVIDIA license was a trial, then switched to a paid license

### Resolution

If switching from an NVIDIA trial license to a paid license on the license server, ensure to reboot the system prior to rendering new jobs.
