Why is my render's color profile called "KeyShot built-in profile"?
This article explains how KeyShot Studio manages color profiles for its renders.
If your render project requires color accuracy, the selected working color space of your operating system is very important. The "sRGB" profile is the most common and is usually the default selection. This is the best all-around profile.
What your operating system has selected matters because this is the profile KeyShot Studio will assign to the renders that are created. Your render will say "KeyShot built-in profile" for its color profile. This is nothing more than a clone of your operating systems assigned profile and will behave as such.
Where this goes wrong and can result in less accurate color representation is when your operating system has a custom profile assigned. This is often the result of a color calibration device being used. The end result of that process is a custom color profile.
This custom profile will be assigned to all of the renders that KeyShot Studio outputs while it is in place. This can result in colors being perceived wrong, but this does not mean the colors are wrong. If you change your operating system back to sRGB and assign sRGB to the renders (using PhotoShop) your colors will be represented more accurately.
