Collaborating on a KeyShot project with a team or customers is made simple and efficient by saving and sharing your scene as a single file that can only be accessed in KeyShot.
How to save a KSP file
To save your KeyShot project as a .ksp file, simply follow these steps:
- Go to the KeyShot menu and select "File".
- From the drop-down menu, choose "Save package...".
- You will be prompted to select the location where you want to save your package file.
- Give your file a name and click "Save".
- Congratulations! Your .ksp file is now ready to be shared with others.
2. Opening a .ksp file
Opening a KeyShot Package file is just as easy as opening a regular KeyShot (.bip) file. Here's how:
- Select "File" from the KeyShot menu.
- Choose either "Open..." or "Import..." to open the file.
- Once the file is loaded, KeyShot will ask you whether you want to copy the files to your content folder or keep them in a single folder.
- If you want to utilize the saved resources, such as textures or HDRIs, in other scenes, select "Copy Files".
- That's it! You can now start working with your .ksp file and take advantage of the saved resources.
By following these simple steps, you can easily save and open .ksp files in KeyShot, making it convenient to share your projects with others and access saved resources for future use.
