When trying to import a CAD file you get an error which begins "No geometry retrieved from" and ends with "Error Code 7"
Issue
When trying to import a CAD file into KeyShot, you get the error below:
No geometry retrieved from... Possible causes: File version may be unsupported. You may need to export polygonal data from your modeling system.

Environment Details
- KeyShot

- CAD software - not specific to any one version or type
Cause
- The version of your CAD software is incompatible with the version of KeyShot you are using.
Resolution
Depending on the version of KeyShot and CAD software you are using, you may need to upgrade your KeyShot. If it is available, you can also try using the KeyShot plugin for the CAD software if it is available. Our plugins are available for no additional cost (except for the NX plugin).
