      KeyShot File Paths

      Where to find paths for the installation, Resource Folder, Logs, licence files, etc.

      Please note that as of KeyShot 2024, the file path will be just ...\KeyShot\.... For previous version e.g. KeyShot 10, the file path would be ...\KeyShot10\..., KeyShot 11 is ...\KeyShot11\... and KeyShot 2023 is ...\KeyShot12\...
      This nomenclature also applies to some other folders like Crashpad (Crashpad 8, Crashpad 9, Crashpad 10, Crashpad 11, Crashpad 12)  and file names, e.g. KSSettings.xml will be KS10Settings.xml for KeyShot 10, etc.

      Install Directory:

      Contains:

      • Bin Folder
      • Uninstall Exe 

      Windows:

      • Installed Just For Me:
        C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\KeyShot or %UserProfile%\Local\KeyShot

      • Installed For Everybody:
        C:\Program Files\KeyShot or %ProgramFiles%\KeyShot

      macOS:

      • /Applications/KeyShot.app/ 

       

      Resource Folder:

      Contains:

      • License File
      • KSSettings.xml

      Windows:

      • Installed Just For Me:
        %UserProfile%\Documents/KeyShot or 
        C:\Users\<username>\Documents\KeyShot

      • Installed For Everybody:
        C:\Users\Public\Documents\KeyShot or 
        %Public%\Documents\KeyShot

      macOS:

      • /Library/Application Support/KeyShot

      Appdata:

      Contains:

      • Welcome screen info

      • loud_auth_error.log, keyshot_auth_handler.log, subscription_error.log

      • KeyShot.log

      Windows:

      • Installed Just For Me:
        %LocalAppData%\Luxion\KeyShot or
        C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Luxion\KeyShot

      • Installed For Everybody:
